Frequently Asked Questions

Consider these questions. A yes to any can mean it would be helpful to speak to someone. Therapy is all about what you need, which can be validation, direction, new skills, new perspective, relief from anxiety, and much more.

I am trained and certified in the Safe and Sound Protocol by Unyte. I can help you identify symptoms of an overactive nervous system. Then, I will deliver the music therapy developed by Dr. Stephen Porges to retune your nervous system to recognize safety and feel calmer.

I provide counseling services for potentially all ages. Young children are eligible for the Safe and Sound Protocol and any support that relates to it's delivery. For individual counseling, I am most experienced with preteens, adolescents, and adults.

You may send a secure message to me through the Client Portal. You may call me on my cell phone. My family members may have access to my voicemail should you leave a message. I will try to get back with you as soon as possible, but always within 24 hours.

I care about your safety. 

I have a cancellation policy stipulated in my Consent for Services Agreement. I always want to extend grace and understanding. I have found, however, that it is difficult to maintain an efficient work atmosphere when I am unable to prepare for changes ahead.

Should you need to cancel with less that 24 hours notice, there will be no charge for the 1st occurrence. For subsequent occurrences, you will be charged the full fee out of pocket. Insurance does not pay for cancelled appointments. You may be required to pay ahead of the session after the 2nd occurrence of late cancellations. 

Yes! We can meet through a HIPPA compliant and secure video call system. Telehealth visits are conducted online with internet access on your computer, tablet or smartphone. Your call may be made from out of the state of Texas IF your permanent address is in Texas.
